Introduction

UnityOne96 is a belief system and philosophy that seeks to unify individuals through self-awareness, connection, and intentional living. Rooted in the understanding that we are all interconnected, UnityOne96 blends Humanism and Spirituality to create a holistic approach to life. It offers a guiding framework for navigating life’s challenges, embracing personal growth, and fostering unity with the universe and one another. Our mission is to provide a supportive community and practical tools that empower individuals to live meaningful and fulfilling lives.

This constitution establishes the foundation for UnityOne96, outlining its core beliefs, objectives, and organisational structure. It serves as a guiding document for members, ensuring alignment with our shared values and purpose.

Core Beliefs

The philosophy of UnityOne96 is built upon three foundational principles:

The One: The belief in unity and interconnectedness. Each individual is part of a greater whole, and through connection with ourselves, others, and the universal consciousness, we co-create the reality we live in. This principle emphasises the importance of collective harmony and shared purpose.
The Nine: Life is a cycle of nine aspects, each representing a key element of human experience. These aspects provide a lens through which we can explore who we are, how we live, and what we value. By understanding these cycles, individuals can navigate life with greater awareness and intention.
The Six: Six rituals for reflection—Acceptance, Forgiveness, Compassion, Responsibility, Action, and Surrender—form the cornerstone of personal growth and healing. These practices guide members in aligning their lives with their values and purpose.

Through mindfulness, meditation, and reflective practices, UnityOne96 encourages individuals to integrate these principles into their daily lives, fostering unity, peace, and personal transformation. Our approach respects the rational thought of Humanism while embracing Spirituality as a means of connection and inner growth.

The mission of UnityOne96 is to inspire and support individuals in living intentional and meaningful lives. By fostering self-awareness, connection, and collective harmony, we aim to create a world where individuals and communities thrive in unity and purpose.

Objectives

Provide a Framework for Growth: Offer tools, resources, and practices that empower individuals to explore their inner selves and align their lives with their values and purpose.
Build a Supportive Community: Create spaces where members can gather, share, and support one another through life’s challenges and celebrations, including the sacred practice of Circle.
Promote Reflection and Healing: Encourage the use of The Nine and The Six to guide members in reflecting on their lives, fostering healing, and embracing transformation.
Honour Life’s Transitions: Support individuals in marking significant life events—from birth and marriage to death and remembrance—through ceremonies that reflect the UnityOne96 philosophy.
Align with Universal Values: Advocate for practices and principles that honour interconnectedness, compassion, and collective responsibility.

Membership

Eligibility

Membership in UnityOne96 is open to anyone who aligns with its philosophy and principles. We welcome individuals from all walks of life who seek connection, growth, and intentional living.

Member Numbers

We are a growing community both locally in Scotland, across the UK and internationally in Australia, Candada, USA and Europe.

Benefits of Membership

Access to Resources: Members receive exclusive access to tools, guides, and practices that support personal growth and reflection.
Community Circles: Participate in regular Circles to share, reflect, and connect with others on similar journeys.
Workshops and Events: Attend workshops, talks, and gatherings that deepen understanding and foster community.
Ceremonial Support: Access guidance for significant life events, including ceremonies that honour UnityOne96’s values.
Leadership Opportunities: Members aligned with the philosophy and principles of UnityOne96 are invited to lead events, Circles, and workshops. Those with prior Celebrant or related training are welcome to contribute without the need for additional certification through UnityOne96.

Expectations of Members

Members are encouraged to:

Approach personal growth and shared experiences with an open mind and heart.
Respect the values and diversity of the UnityOne96 community.

Membership Fees

Membership of CommUnity One96 is free, however, there may be small nominal fees for This Life workshops and training. Most of our work is supported by a 10% donation passed through our Ceremonial work.

Governance

Leadership Structure

UnityOne96 is governed by a leadership team composed of designated office bearers who oversee community activities, decision-making, and ethical standards. These office bearers include:

Founder/Principal Representative – Oversees the vision and growth of UnityOne96.
Chair – Responsible for facilitating meetings and ensuring governance practices align with the constitution.
Treasurer – Manages financial matters, including donations, fees and event funding.
Secretary – Oversees administrative tasks, record-keeping, and communication with members.

These office bearers are nominated and elected at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) to ensure leadership remains accountable and representative of the community.

Decision-Making Process

Decisions regarding the direction and activities of UnityOne96 are made collaboratively through:

Regular member meetings to discuss and vote on proposals.
A leadership council composed of active members to provide guidance and oversight.
Open forums for member input to ensure transparency and inclusivity.

Conflict Resolution

UnityOne96 prioritises respectful communication and mutual understanding. Any conflicts within the community are addressed through facilitated discussions and, if needed, mediation by the leadership council.

Retreats: Opportunities for immersive reflection, learning, and connection in inspiring settings.

Amendments

This constitution is a living document, reflecting the evolving needs and aspirations of the UnityOne96 community. Amendments can be proposed by any member and are subject to the following process:

Proposal Submission: Members submit proposed amendments in writing to the leadership council.
Community Review: Proposals are shared with the community for feedback and discussion during regular meetings.
Voting: Amendments are adopted through a majority vote by the membership.
Implementation: Approved amendments are incorporated into the constitution and communicated to all members.
